Las Perlitas

Here we welcome Rose Coffee Roasters and the work of Matt Winton, 2021 World Brewers Champion who is clearly a lover of head-turning coffees with intense sweetness because that's all we've tasted so far.

This is one of the tamer coffees we purchased from Rose this time around but ironically one of the best Pink Bourbons we've had the pleasure of drinking.  

Rose are like us; they love Pink Bourbon, especially the classic washed expressions.

This particular lot comes was sourced by Coffee Quest. It is a blend of some of the top lots in Huila from smallholder farmers. At the dry mill, each of the individual farmers deliver their Pink Bourbon harvests which are cupped for quality, and then blended together to form this larger, export size Pink Bourbon Washed lot. 

The cup is bright, citrus-forward and  wonderfully floral, with all of the classic raspberry sweetness and clarity we usually see from high quality Pink Bourbons.
