Red Brick
Regular price $26.00The Square Mile house blend full of rich, chocolatey notes and enough vibrant fruit to keep it balanced.
The Red Brick blend is a Square Mile staple - a real crowd pleaser.
We usually steer our customers towards this if they're looking for something a little more classic, maybe with lower acidity and that nice rich texture you get from an espresso roast.
Like most blends this one changes seasonally so the components won't always be the same but you can be confident that it will hit very similar tasting notes every time.
This particular release includes Costa Rica's Catuai variety, a longstanding pillar for both single origins and blends arriving out of Square Mile. This half of the bag comes from the Altamira de Chirripó group, processed as a white honey that highlights notes of raisins, honey, and red apple. Balancing richness with vibrancy, Catuai is a timeless nod to what Costa Rica does so well—and one you're sure to enjoy right out of the cup.
The other half of the blend is Quebradón, a community lot produced by farmers in Palestina, Huila, Colombia. Sourced by Caravela, this washed lot combines Caturra, Castillo, Colombia, and Typica varieties grown at 1,650–1,850 masl. The result is a clean, structured coffee with a chocolate-toned base and a bright lift of fruit. Like much of Square Mile’s work with Caravela, Quebradón is built on long-term producer relationships, ensuring both consistency in the cup and sustainability at origin.
This Colombian lot gives crisp red apple, and a lingering toffee finish.
Together the blend provides a deep chocolate base with bright popping acidity.
Red Brick is a favorite amongst our regulars. We can never stock enough of it.
