It's finally here! Our 'signature' blend if you will; All Day.
Yes, a blend, but 100% Colombian because that's how we roll. All Day is that coffee that showcases blends in all their glory. It's comforting and enticing but still exciting enough to draw you in for more.
As a roaster, blends are a great way to support producers, co-operatives and importers as they allow us to purchase larger volumes of coffee from each harvest and forward-contract where possible. This approach gives us the freedom to select a coffee that may otherwise be overlooked with the intent to find it a partner lot and create something balanced, vibrant and unique.
Here's what's in it today:
'La Falda' makes up the base - it's 50% of All Day. This lot is a great snapshot of what the Huila region is famous for. Big, crisp red apple notes, loads of lingering honeycomb and a great toffee-like finish. It's a day lot of several small producers from Garzón.
'Amigos del Huila' (~40% of All Day) heroes the little guy by blending 4 relative unknown producers from Tarqui in the southern part of Huila. This lot backs up that honey/toffee base, adds a touch of nuttiness and gives us a beautifully buttery texture.
Finally, the last 10%, the literal "cherry on top", is a coffee from Frank Torres. This is a little anaerobic fermented but fully washed coffee. It's super clean and adds some exciting notes of fresh, red fruits and juicy purple grape.
All Day is great to brew any way you want. We use it as Espresso in our shops but brew it as drip at home. It's great black but those toffee and honeycomb notes absolutely love the addition of milk. This is a coffee for you and all your loved ones.
