Pedro Bonilla
Regular price $25.00A natural anaerobic coffee from the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Peach and Pastry.
We don't buy Anaerobic Naturals very often so when you see one on our list, you know it has to be balanced and probably worth checking out!
Pedro Bonilla has been dedicated to his farm, Altamira, for over 15 years. The farm spreads out across 28 hectares and can be found at an elevation of 1500 masl in the wild and remote Magdalena region of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta range along Colombia’s Caribbean coast.
Pedro embraces a rich family legacy rooted in coffee cultivation, continuing a legacy of coffee production in the area. His passion for high-quality coffee is nurtured by sustainable soil practices and water conservation efforts. Despite the challenges posed by producing coffee in the Sierra Nevada, Pedro envisions growth for his farm, aiming to pass on his knowledge to future generations.
This coffee tastes of sweet stewed peaches, brown sugar, toasty pastry with a touch of that natural fermenty acidity thrown in for good measure. If you want to see what a funky but extremely balanced anaerobically fermented coffee can taste like, this is the one.
