Javier Cardozo

Garzon is a brilliant little coffee growing region, tucked away in the hills of Huila and producing some outstanding Bourbon and Bourbon-adjacent varietals.

Javier Cardozo has nearly 50 years of experience working as a coffee farmer and now he mostly grows Colombia and Castillo varieties on his farm, La Cabaña. This specific coffee is from a small lot of Bourbon trees he tends to.

Bourbon is known for producing a cup with concentrated and lingering sweetness. It shows sparkling acidity which balances well but it's the long, sweet finish that reminds you that you're drinking a Bourbon.

In the cup we are tasting blackberry, hibiscus and clean caramel.
