Kolla BulchaRegular price $22.00
A killer Ethiopian roasted really, really well. Notes of lavender, ripe berries and yuzu.
49th Parallel have a real way with Ethiopian coffees. They always roast them in a way that intensifies the sweetness whilst retaining unique qualities of the coffee. They're easily some of our favorites every year.
This particular coffee comes from the Kolla Bulcha farmer's cooperative. The members of this coop live and farm around the Jimma region of Ethiopia.
Coffees from Jimma always give us 'purple' vibes. Think lavender, violet and grape jelly - floral and sweet. We also tend to find sweeter citrus notes that veer away from that tangy lemon/lime and leans more towards mandarin and orange.
In this case, 49th Parallel have described this coffee as tasting of lavender, chamomile and yuzu (a Japanese citrus fruit that tastes like a cross between lemon and mandarin).
